D-CUPPING..........................................

You may just have to double-click on this photo to the right, to see the remarkable pair of D-cups on the mountain top, referred to locally as " Tetas de Cayey" (You can translate than one yourself).................... In PUERTO RICO they are quite famous, because right there in the cleavage is an excellent restaurant in Cayey....................With an incredibly steep road to get there .............. We know that now .............. Because yesterday Carlos Selles rang us on our new PR phone, to invite us to view them more closely.................... Inspirational they are, as was the meal shared with Carlos and Glory (pictured below), and his cousin Eduardo and his wife Blanca...................Excellent food, taken to 'new heights', cooked Puerto Rican style, and the temperature at mountain top had to be at least twenty degrees cooler ............... Thank goodness the restaurant was in the cleavage ..........It is always warmer in the cleavage ..............

Even from far out at sea this shapely signpost is visible on the skyline...........

Cousin Eduardo took this photo and he really was there ..............

Most of the yachts that were sheltering in the mangroves have now exited to return to the anchorage at Salinas, a large bay with water a good 8ft (2m) deep and room for plenty ................ There is a marina with water, fuel and laudry facilities for those who are destined to stay in this area for "Hurricane Season" ................... Some may stay here a little longer like this poor victim .............. The kind of scenario we all live in fear of ........... Climbed to the top of the mast this morning, to do some aerobics up there ................You know the type, where you hook your leg around the mast and lean backwards with both hands free to get a photo ........ Not for myself, of course, but just to get the heart-rate going of all those in the anchorage watching me ............... They need the work-out more than I do, after all I made it to the top of the mast to take these shots................And down again all in one piece ...............

There is a fringe-barrier reef dotted with small islands that protects this anchorage from ocean swell, even during times of tropical storms .........

The town of SALINAS has a town square, the "PLAZA" with a church and the Town Council buildings and then there was a building with this sign above the door .............. Intriguingly, we peered through the glass windows but found the interior ransacked ............ Hmmmmm..................... We will get to the dictionary and find out what 'CRIM' means ...............We know that 'Oficina' means 'Office'......

And here is Carlos's cousin EDUARDO ........ I told you he was there .......... a man who single-handedly polished off a porter house steak, a nice 'mofongo' and was able to tell us so much about Puerto Rican cooking, horsemanship, sailing and the fact that oranges are called 'jugo de chine' and not 'naranja' ........... Could this be that missing '1421' Chinese link? .....................
The Chinese, during the Ming Dynasty, are supposed to have circumnavigated all of the continents long before Columbus even thought to put his pants on, and they left chickens everywhere................ The AMERICAS had no chickens and look at the place now ........... Chickens everywhere.................
