WATER BABIES .....................................

The "EL MORRO FORT" adventure led to a wonderful night at Dwight's apartment in SAN JUAN, and another seafood dinner to die for ............ And then a day of cross-country driving to get the " Feel of Puerto Rico ", the high-life, the barrios, the sea-side shanties the winding roads and the autopistas with the toll stations ...... Even a quick visit to SALINAS, our hidey-hole from hurricanes ............Ending in a magnificent sunset on board ARITA at ISLETA .......... And then a dawn departure for the islands to put the water babies to the test ...............

And in SALINAS there was this "splat" in the water and we looked up to see this huge Iguana in the top of the mangroves, sunning and 'scheiting' ............. Oblivious to all of us below ............... With a bird it is supposed to bring 'good luck' ..... Not sure about an Iguana...... We got over it ........... But that dish in the wooden bowl is super-delicious....... 'Chuletta pieces (pork chops) with garlic Mofongo' (cooked plantain bananas mashed with spices) ........ That's not taking anything away from Tony's 'Jambalaya Marinara' ............

........AND YES, WE DID FIND BLUE, BLUE WATER .......... AND YES, THE WATER BABIES ARE IN THEIR ELEMENT ..........

The newly-weds may have been a little pale when they arrived (The kind of whiteness that makes them invisible in the snow in Florida) but that is about to change, as the clothes come off, the cell phones are turned off and the business thoughts are left behind ..........

And in a single day, the crew of four happy people, managed to sail/motor the yacht ARITA from Culebra in PUERTO RICO, through the U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS and through the first part of the BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS, to anchor for the night in PIRATES' BIGHT on NORMAN ISLAND ..............

And as the Sun sets over the Island of TORTOLA, we all agree THAT THIS, IS SALT-WATER LIVING at its best ...................

Warms our hearts to see these four smiling faces together. Anne's got a 6-pack now? Wow! Beautiful pictures. Can't wait to see more!
Love you all!
